Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Operable Walls is a Melbourne-based supplier and installer of commercial operable wall systems. We operate from 2/90 Slater Parade, Keilor East VIC 3033. For any privacy-related questions, contact us at admin@operablewalls.com.au.

2. What personal information we collect

When you submit an enquiry through our contact form, we collect the following information you voluntarily provide:

• Full name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Suburb or location
• Project type and timeline
• Any message or project details you include

We also collect your IP address as part of our automated rate-limiting system, which protects the site from spam and abuse. IP data is held temporarily in memory and is not stored beyond a one-hour window.

3. Why we collect it

We collect your personal information solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, arrange a site visit, or follow up on your commercial project. We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing, and we do not sell or share it with third parties for their own purposes.

4. Who we share it with

To operate this website and handle your enquiry, your information may pass through the following third-party services:

• Resend: We use Resend to deliver email notifications when you submit an enquiry. Your form data is transmitted to Resend's servers for delivery. See Resend's privacy policy.
• Vercel: Our website is hosted on Vercel, which processes request metadata including IP addresses as part of serving pages and providing analytics. See Vercel's privacy policy.
• Upstash: We use Upstash Redis to enforce rate limits on our contact form. IP addresses are stored in a temporary counter that expires after one hour. See Upstash's privacy policy.

5. Where it's stored

Enquiry data transmitted via Resend may be stored on servers in the United States or European Union depending on Resend's infrastructure. Vercel operates edge servers globally. Upstash stores rate-limit data in the nearest available region. Enquiry emails received at admin@operablewalls.com.au are stored on your email provider's infrastructure, which may also be offshore.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiry emails are kept in our inbox for up to 24 months from the date of last contact, then deleted. We do not maintain a separate database of submitted enquiries; all records exist only within our email system.

7. Accessing, correcting, or deleting your data

Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. To make a request, email admin@operablewalls.com.au with the subject line Privacy Request. We will respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies and analytics

This website uses Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not set cookies and does not track individuals across sessions or sites. It collects only aggregated, anonymised page-view data. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other cookie-based tracking tools.

9. Complaints

If you believe we have handled your personal information in a way that does not comply with the Australian Privacy Principles, and you are not satisfied with our response to your complaint, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au.
